Somin Jung: "When I'm in love, I commit to him!"
Her acting ability and appearance continues to improve. Actress So-min Jung(age 23), plays the role of Hye-yoon in "Can We Marry" in cable channel JTBC; who decides to break off her engagement because of her mom (Mi-suk Lee) who thinks 'marriage is business'.
She acted a cute and bright student in her past work, 'Playful Kiss' and 'Bad Guy'. Now, she plays a mature character. Her acting has excelled evidently. Acting with Mi-suk Lee is so real that it seems like they're real mother and daughter.
"I've learned a lot of things filming 'Can We Marry", So-min Jung's eyes sparkled when she talked about the drama even though she could barely open her eyes during the interview after doing 48-hours straight of filming.
-You are in your early 20s and unmarried but how were you able do your role?
"My source is my cousin who is getting married soon. My cousin said that 'Can We Get Marry' is a 100% reality drama' that she watches with empathy.
-Have you thought differently of marriage?
"My ideas of marriage has changed a lot. Also, I realized that I should not only look at "him" but also his home environment and how he was raised; things like that.

-What's your type for love?
"When I like the guy, I really fall for him. Just like Dong-bi (Gru Han) in the drama."

-In this drama, you did bed scene for the first time.
"Since we rehearsed a lot, it wasn't that difficult. When filming the scene where Sung-jun kisses me pushing me to the wall, the director said 'Hye-yoon should be more aggressive which I tried to do". It felt like we shot the scene for a long time. haha"

-How did you do with Mi-suk Lee?
"I was so nervous in the beginning. I prepared very hard because I felt I shouldn't make any mistakes in any scenes. But now, I'm comfortable with her like she's my real mom. Mi-suk Lee and Hwa-jung Choi are the moodmakers in the studio. Just listen to them and you'll feel the energy."

-The slap by Mi-suk Lee to you looked so real.
"Because it was really slap.(laugh) That one hurt so bad. That scene was done in one take. I don't think I could take a second slap because may face was so red and swollen.
-You showed two hair styles. Which one do you like more?
"I had my hair cut for the first time since high school. Short hair dries faster. (laugh)

-What do you do on break time?
"I lack sleep these days, so I sleep whenever I can or read manga comics. I read manga comics almost everyday.

-Hobbies?
"I read books and manga comics. I live plain and simple. My parents were quite strict and never allowed me to hang out with friends. I was never allowed to stay out late at night or a sleep over unless it's in my house. When I have the time, I go out for tea and chats with friends. I bought a guitar few days ago and want to learn how to play after the drama."

-What are your plans for Christmas?
"Luckily, there's no filming. I'm plan to make aromatic candles with a friend. I ordered all the materials we need. (laugh)"
