GF Bella Bee translated the two parts interview of the producer on the topic,  'How MM landed the role of Oh Hani".

(Note:  The 2 parts interview are from PK Producer's Cut DVD 4 and 10)

PD:  Our production ran into a problem.  We got KHJ for BSJ role early on but had difficulty for OHN's role.  No matter how hard we tried, we could not find the actress suited to play the role of OHN.  We had to delay the filming until we met Jung So Min at the last minute. That's why the production was rushed.

PD:  My most memorable moment when talking about this drama was your audition.  The place was in MBC studio... it was about 1  a.m. after you finished shooting for BG (Bad Guy).  PD Fan and I were waiting for you.

             

PD:  For OHN role, we spent a long time looking for the right actress but never found her.  We were like drowning in the pool who was willing to grasp at anything we could.

              Then, we met you.  When you entered the room, I thought "I found her" and also "this is worth every moment and effort we spent on looking for OHN".  Do you remember anything about it?

JSM:  I felt that it wasn't an audition...  it was more like a talk or discussion.

PD:  At that time my only worry was PD Fan, he kept silent throughout the audition.  He didn't speak... not a single word -- he just sat quietly.

               I was really annoyed and thought "why is it only me who kept talking".  However, my eyes met with PD fan and we just looked at each other quietly.  Usually, if our eyes meet means we are both satisfied.  The fact was our management also like you a lot.

JSM:  I almost didn't attend the audition.  I have been asked several times before but because I just finished a drama, it was hard to decide to do the next project quickly at that time.

PK Producer Cut DVD: BTS Epi 11 - Bed Talk #3

Let me take this opportunity to thank GF Bella Bee for sharing with us screencaps and translation of the dialogue from Japanese to English of the PK Producer Cut DVD.  Because of GF BB's generosity, we now have more detailed info on what took place behind-the-scene in PK; for instance, we learned the topic our couple talked about while in queue for their scenes in BSJ's apartment.  Let's do a recap:

And now, Bed Talk #3

MM:  SeungJo, can you sleep in this type of outfit?

HJ:  This outfit is uncomfortable to sleep in.

MM:  I got a comfortable pajama.

HJ:  I only wear underpants when I go to sleep.

MM:  It isn't good for the health.

  (This is contrary to the translation 2/3 years ago:  it was said then that MM said it's good for the health.  So, here the Japanese caption says MM doesn't support the idea.)

HJ:  I can't sleep if I'm uncomfortable.

(Narrator:  HJ & MM were already asked to resume filming but the couple continued with their conversation.)

 

HJ:  I'd rather sleep naked.

This statement has been confirmed by HJ in various tv shows so, this is not a shock to many of his fans.

MM:  Whatever is comfortable for you, right?

2nd call from the PD:  Quiet!!!    

So their topic was from ghost story to solution for couples with bad sleeping habit to underpants.  kekeke

Here's another photo wherein HJ is looking at MM.  (If you notice in this photo, HJ's head is not the same level as MM as it was in the 1st photo).  

But as soon as MM turned to say something to him, he closed his eyes.  lol  Pretending to be asleep but still busted!!!  hahaha

HYUNMIN FOREVER!

PK Producer Cut DVD: BTS Epi 11 - Bed Talk #2

This is the scene wherein BSJ had trouble sleeping due to OHN's bad sleeping habit.  In light of that, the apd and cameraman had a good time making fun of HJ & MM -- the cameraman said, "I don't think you two can live together, if she has a bad sleeping habit".  *cough-cough*  (I wonder why the cameraman said that???  kekeke) 

Interestingly, HJ & MM went further with the subject and discussed solutions on how they can live together (okay, maybe for their characters?!?)  ^-^ 

For a solution to the problem, MM suggested a 2-sided bed.

HJ couldn't get the concept and asked if MM meant 2 separate beds.

Again, MM said she meant 2-sided bed.

HJ asked if MM meant a bed that can be divided or separated -- again, he couldn't get the concept of the type of bed.  (Aren't they taking the matter a bit too seriously?  kekeke)

The cameraman joined in the conversation and said, "this conversation is hard to follow".  hahaha  (I totally agree!)  hahaha 

I think the cameraman described another bed for MM to reply, "I didn't mean that."

MM:  Not a big bed.

FYI - I believe MM meant a side-by-side bed like this one.  ^-^ 

I think HJ meant, "this bed talk is exhausting".  hahaha

 
Umm... is it the conversation you find exhausting or is it the thought of you and her having a separate bed, if ever???  hahaha

PK Producers Cut DVD: BTS Epi 11 - Bed Talk #1

  According to HJ, it took 2 days to film the bed talk scenes at BSJ's apartment.  

Do you recall this bts scene from a bts video in YT?  This was on the 1st day of filming the scene and according to the video narrator, there were awkwardness and HJ was shy to be in bed with MM.  *cough-Epi 10-cough*

On the 2nd day, HJ expressed his thought in the extent of their filming.

Incidentally, while HJ was chattering his thought, MM took a brief nap -- can you see where she is?

It was evident that the awkwardness disappeared and back to their usual behavior.

HJ was telling MM about a ghost he encountered. 

Ironically, basing on their conversation,

they both find the subject funny!

Then, coordi noona acknowledged their happy demeanor...

which made them silent.  Maybe noona felt left out of their conversation?  Or, maybe noona said:  "could you two be more obvious with your flirting?"  ^-^  kekeke

PK PRODUCER'S CUT DVD - Hospital Scene

Some fans had different interpretation or speculations when this bts was first released.  Thanks to GF Bella Bee, we have a better understanding of what went on. 

This scene was in YT-Special, Epi 7; where OHN asks her hubby BSJ's schedule on the 16th, the day of her bday.  While waiting for their queue, MM shared with HJ her concern over her sibling.

Nuna expressed her concern too. 

HJ trying to cheer up MM with his 4d thoughts.

I asked GF BB what was HJ's answer to MM's question -- she said it was cut and this was the last shot.  HJ looks like 'the cat caught his tongue' here like saying... oops, okay I'll stop joking around.  hehehe
