Kim Hyun Joong to Substitute for TVXQ Changmin on ‘Our Neighborhood’

On August 8, a KBS staff member stated that Changmin was not at the recording that took place on August 7 due to his prior schedules. Instead, Kim Hyun Joong substituted for the idol members, becoming actor Lee Jong Soo’s badminton partner temporarily.

The cast of Our Neighborhood Variety and Sports visited the Taereung Village, where national athletes reside and train, to practice badminton with the best of the best.

Kim Hyun Joong will appear on the variety show for about two weeks, receiving training from national athletes. Changmin is expected to return to filming by next week.

The episode with Kim Hyun Joong will broadcast on August 20.

Kim Hyun Joong, Kim So Eun and Im Soo Hyang Confirmed For “Inspiring Generation”

A month ago, it was announced that Kim Hyun Joong was looking at the drama favorably.  The role had previously been offered to Lee Jun Ki and Kwon Sang Woo, both of whom passed it up for other dramas (Two Weeks, Medical Top Team). Their loss was the singer-actor’s gain and he’s scheduled to appear with co-stars Im Soo Hyang (Iris 2) and Kim So Eun who starred with him in Boys Over Flowers.

It’s a KBS2 manhwa-based drama set in 1930s Shanghai about love, friendship and patriotism. They will be shooting on location in Shanghai, China for three months and it’s scheduled for a November premiere.

Seeing how Taecyeon’s acting has improved for his latest drama gives us hope that anything is possible. Considering that the role was previously offered to very capable actors like Lee Jun Ki and Kwon Sang Woo, one has to imagine that it will be quite melodramatic and require an actor who can successfully convey a barrage of emotions. Can Kim Hyun Joong handle it? I suppose the producers think so. We’ll see how right they are in November.

♥♥♥ PK-FM in Tokyo - BJG vs BSJ ♥♥♥

As promised, I'll share some of my favorite Q&A from PK-FM in Tokyo - Day Event.
But first, I'd like to show the difference of their hug in the opening.  MM was a bit nervous at the Osaka event because it was her first time to be on stage in front of thousands of fans of HJ in Japan.  The hug was gentle and sweet.

She was a bit more relaxed when they hugged at the opening of the program in PK-FM in Tokyo -- they were both confident.
