Yes, he was too young when the accident happen but he never forgot the love and bond they shared. I think most boys or men are closer to the mother; therefore, they tend to look for a gf or wife that has their mother's characteristics or traits(caring, attentive, understanding, etc.) I also believe in spiritual intervention and that his mom had a big part for HJ to meet YJ... spooky as it may sound.
