According to Oricon, Kim Hyun Joong has held a record as a Korean artist to have all his albums released in Japan reach 100,000 copies sold in the first week of its release.
Last year, his Japan debut single, KISS KISS/Lucky Guy, reached a record for selling the most copies on the day of its release. His single released in July of last year, HEAT, sold 183,000 copies in the first week and his most recent single, TONIGHT, sold 116,000 copies. This statistics show just how popular he is in Japan
