First of all, apology to everyone as I wasn't able to publish the winner result last week as I initially said in the announcement. 


We'd like to thank the participants of the Categorical Contest #4, namingly:  Burningsoul16, Serene, Cielito, Mi7chimes and PrncMcKr.  All of you did an excellent job - thank you so much for making the time to share your talent in story writing with us. We want more if not Part 2 of your respective stories  (the other judges asked me to include that).  ^-^

HyunMin One Shot - M & J Love Story Part 7

Continuation...  

Jihoo pondered, “this is not right… she’s an adult and have the right to choose who and what she needs in her life… and most of all, she has the right to be happy”. 

Jihoo said, “Monae, I know an unsolicited advice is unwarranted because only you know what’s best for you.  If I may share my philosophy in life, I believe that in order for a person to be happy is to follow his heart whether it’s for a professional or personal choice -- I may not be successful in the end but knowing that I gave my best and it was my decision that's enough for me.  I trust that you know what’s in your heart!” 

"So, do you have any plans tomorrow?" Jihoo asked.  "Mmm???" Monae said with a confused look.  "Let’s do something fun -- would you like to go sailing?" Jihoo said.  "Sailing???" Monae asked to confirm.  "Do you have a habit of repeating every question asked of you?" Jihoo sarcastically asked.  "Sorry, I didn’t think you know how to have fun!"  Monae bantered.  "Did you just call me boring?" Jihoo bantered back.  Monae just gave Jihoo an innocent look and started running away from him.  It appears both were not bothered by Monae’s situation as they’re back to like being kids again. 

 
That evening, while Jihoo was preparing the materials they need for their sailing adventure he remembered Monae’s statement so he decided to forewarn her.  On his cel phone, he said “Monae, I would hate for you to get bored tomorrow so plan to bring a book or ipod, just in case - arasso?”   “Is this about what I said earlier… mianhe!  De, I’ll bring some materials to keep me busy!" Monae replied. 

The following morning on the yacht while Jihoo was preparing to sail, Monae settled her ipod and book out on the table next to a small made-up table with a nicely-designed cake settled on top.  "Omo, you brought a cake?" Monae curiously asked.  “Yes, for dessert… our dessert after lunch as I know how much you liked your birthday cake.” Jihoo replied.  "Ahhhh, komawo!" Monae shyly said. 

  

Once in a while, Monae couldn’t help but glimpse at Jihoo.  She looked with astonishment at him:  how comfortable he makes her feel, how he treats her and the special attention he gives her. 

After a while, Jihoo settled at one end of the yacht preparing a fishing rod while Monae watched him intently.  “Should the statement be who’s in my heart as opposed to what’s in my heart?!" Monae pondered.
