Continuation......

The next day, Jihoo and Monae met at the restaurant to have lunch and Monae was startled upon seeing Jihoo.

"What happened?... You look like you have seen a ghost."  Jihoo said.

"You look different today, did you cut your hair?"  Monae asked.

Jihoo smiled "Oh, my hair?  Aniyo, I just had it permed for a change - whae?  Does it look bad?"

 

"Ani, actually it looks good on you." Monae replied.

The two started their lunch and was having a fun conversation at the same time when Monae ask something to Jihoo.

"By the way, Jihoo aside from playing musical instruments what else do you for a hobby?"

Jihoo quickly answered, "I love any type of sports:  basketball, baseball and most especially, soccer."  I play once in a while with friends.  By the way,  tomorrow is the opening ceremony of the major baseball league and I have  a couple of tickets... would you like to join me?" 

Monae's eyes sparkled upon hearing what Jihoo asked and gleefully said, "Really?  I really can come with you???" 

Jihoo just chuckled with her reaction and smiled sweetly at her.  "Yes, you can really, really, really come.  Oh wait, I'll call my friend to inform him that I'm taking you with me."

Jihoo left his seat and called his friend.  After a few minutes, he went back to Monae with a wide smile on his face.

"You'll never guess what my friend said...  they're looking for a girl to pitch for the opening game tomorrow!  When I mentioned that I'm bringing a girl "friend",  he asked if you would be willing to cover the spot.  What do you say?"

Monae's eyes widened upon hearing what Jihoo said.  

"Me, pitch at the game?  No, no, no, no... I can't!  I've never stood in front of  a big crowd... I might get a stage freight -- it's embarassing.  Maybe you should ask somebody else."

Jihoo was disappointed when Monae refused to accept the offer but adamant in convincing her.

"What's there to be embarassed about?  Just think positive -- you're not there to be criticized or make fun of.  It's a big priviledge to be invited to pitch for a major baseball league.  How many people have the opportunity to do that in their life?  Besides, it'll only take a few minutes of your time and I will be there to support you."

Monae pondered, "Jihoo's right, nothing to lose... it's a priviledge indeed -- it's once in a lifetime experience." .

"Ok, I will do it!  But don't break your promise that you will be there to support me, arasso?"  Monae teasingly asked. 

Jihoo was glad that Monae change her mind. "I promise, I will stay with you, I will be your biggest fan and I will cheer for you."
